Simon Fischer is one of the UK’s leading teachers, with professorships at the Guildhall and Menuhin schools. He has written the popular violin pedagogy books ‘Basics’ and ‘Practice’, featured below. Simon Fischer’s teachers include studies with Yfrah Neaman (London) and Dorothy DeLay (New York).
Simon also studied Alexander Technique with Walter Carrington. Fischer is presently professor at the Guildhall of Music and at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London. He is well known for his regular monthly articles on teaching featured in ,The Strad. His technique books , Basics’and Practice’ have attracted world wide interest and acclaim.
